One Happy Family

Well as you can see I have not updated my blog in forever! I guess its the business of having a baby! I never knew how much time they take and I am loving every minute of it !! Well so far our life has been amazing having our sweet little wonder! Dallon brings us so much joy to our lives and we are amazed daily on how smart and handsome he is! I know I am not the only person to feel that way about their children! They are such a great blessing and we feel privileged to have been chosen to have him in our home. So we have been busy I will give a few updates on what going on. So Bella our dog had 11 puppies one week after Dallon was born ( that was the craziest time in my life) But I loved having so many babies in our home! But it was a lot of work!! So we sold all of her puppies 7 weeks after they were born and made a good profit Around 3400 which allowed me to stay home from work for 12 weeks, which was so fantastic. But it came to an end and I have been back to work since September. I am working about 35 hours a week so its a little reduced, but hopefully in February my schedule changes and I can go down to 32 hours a week so that will be nice! And of course during this time Dallon has been growing like a weed! He has been in the 100th percentile in both height and weight since he was 2 month old! So we are constantly buying new clothes! But he is as cute as can be. I can already tell since he has a bit of a temper that he is going to wear us out but being an active little boy. He can now sit up on the floor by himself and play with toys which helps his Mama so I can get chores done. He also loves loves loves Bella and i am convinced that his first word will be Bella instead of Mama or Dada. He completely lights up when she is in the room and giggles and laughs so hard at her its so funny! Michael is back in school this semester and is taking 10 credits.. I think he finally feels more motivation to get done with school. He is also working 40 hours a week so we are very busy, but we are loving life!!

Our Dreams Came True!!!

Well I haven't updated my blog in a long time, but i have a good excuse. We got a brand new baby boy and we named him Dallon Michael Carrier! I am so excited that our dreams came true and we are finally a family!! It happened in the craziest of ways so I will tell the story. Well on June 25 i was at work going on a break when I got a call form LDS services. They said they had a situation and that the baby was born that morning and it was a little boy. I was so excited I remember pacing up and down the hall in my work. Then Our social worker said that would we be prepared to have a baby that weekend I just shouted yes of course!! Then i had to go back to work, after going crazy with excitement.. I ended up leaving early for the day since we needed to buy a car seat and baby stuff just in case we were going to get him. We were being looked at along with other couples as well. we then got a call at 9 pm and our case worker said we were bringing home a little man the next day!!!! I freaked out and I was laughing and pacing and crying all at once! Then she told us when we would meet at the hospital and so we could meet the person who organized this all to happen through LDS services. Originally from what i heard the birth mother and father came in delivered the baby and left 8 hours later. They were so courageous to do what they did. The nurses said that they did want to see him before they left and that they were crying. What an emotional hard day that was for them and i will be forever grateful for their sacrifice. we later came around 10 am and met our case workers there and also the guy who is also a bishop, he was the person who got a hold of LDS services since the birth parents were going to have him placed just with the state. Luckily they agreed that the agency would pick the couple for their baby. we later found out that they chose us out of 50 couples! after we all were introduced we then met the nurses who had been taking care of our little guy. they were very sweet and loving. We then walked down the short hallway into the delivery room and a nurse was feeding him. I remember just stopping and staring and being scared to hold at first when she placed him in my arms. then I sat down and I remember looking up and seeing Michaels face filled with tears. I then moved so he could hold him. he is such a happy father!! After that we got to open the blankets up and look at how perfect he was and get him dressed to come home. then there was tons of paperwork to fill out and then we left to go home. My parents were with us and we only had wished Michaels parents would have been able to come as well. but they were a long ways a way. We called them through-out the day and week to keep them updated. It was an amazing wonderful and incredible day and i can't believe how lucky we are to have our little boy in our lives! It came on so suddenly but it was so worth the wait!

SUMMER FUN!!

So I haven't updated my blog in a while.. SO I thought tonight would be perfect to do a update.. So this summer we have a few things planned. Our first fun thing thats happening is we are going camping with our friends this next weekend!! I am very excited! And Bella our dog is Pregnant!! She is due on the 4th of July. So we will have some very cute Weimeraner babys very soon! We are also excited to see Mikes family on the 4th of july weekend, of course thats when Bella is due so we will see how we can still come for the reunion! But at least the next weekend is the Thompson reunion so we will for sure go to Twinn Falls for that! Another cool this that is happening is that my sister laura is going to have her baby in July! It will be a baby girl and we are excited for them! So we are busy for the next month and then after that we are going to try to go to the Oregon Coast for my birthday in September! I am very excited!! Then another cool thing is happening my sister Ashley is getting married !! She is going to get married on 11/20/2009 to a great guy his name is Brian Baker! They are apart right now since he is a gold miner with his family in Alaska. So they are excited and we can not be happier for them. Those are the main things that are comming up I will try and post some more pictures soon.

Why Adoption?

Well we are safe and sound back from McCall and we had a fantastic time! We went to the shore lodge for the first night we got into town and it was really nice it took us 45 minutes to just look at the entire lodge! However we did get locked out of our room for an hour around 11 pm at night in our wet swimming suits and hotel robes it was embarrassing lol. They finally were able to get into our room by ripping the door frame off since 4 hotel keys would not work, it was an interesting night but we did get 30.00 off our stay due to the situation. Then we went to Brundage the next day to go skiing and we had a great time on the bunny hills! I was amazed that I didn't fall the entire time, Michael on the other hand did have a harder time, but he did great that last time down the hill and we are starting to see a tradition in the making! We loved it! Then we stayed the next two days at the Tendwest resort which was like a condo with a clubhouse and a pool and jacuzzi! We stayed there with our great friends Laura and Derek and we have so much fun just relaxing and hanging out. So luckily we did not break any bones and came home in one piece, lucky for Bella I don't think she could have handled one more day with-out us!

Well the new year has started! We are so excited for this year and all the fun things that we have in store! So to update everyone on our calender so far.. these are the things that we have planned.. We are going to McCall on 02/19-02/22 to celebrate Michael's 31st Birthday!! We are excited to be going skiing and this will be a first for both of going together, hopefully we come back in one piece with no broken bones! We are going with are best friends and can't wait to relax and have fun!! So the next thing that we have planned for this year is we are going to go to UTAH !! Sometime in March I will update everyone on what exact weekend, we are so excited to see all of our family and friends!!! The next thing that we have coming up is that we have the Carrier family reunion!! Its on the 4th of july and we can not wait!!! Other than these big things we have planned we will be having fun and be working and going to school! Yeah I know our life is so glamorous!!

We love to spend time with our dear friends, this is Michael who fell asleep while we were babysitting Taylor, who is our friend Craig and Melanies son who happens to be adopted and we just love him dearly and is close to our hearts and we have a fun time watching him every now and then.
